IF started out in studio filmmaking working in special effects and miniatures, fabricating models for The Fifth Element, Titanic, Dante’s Peak, Species II, Armageddon and HBO’s From The Earth To The Moon mini-series. He also worked on commercial productions for clients such as Jeep, Nissan, Dr. Pepper, NFL Monday Night Football, Lexus and Toyota.
Following that, IF wrote and helped produce the indy sci-fi horror feature The Men Who Fell, which was distributed in Germany, Japan and Canada. He went on to co-write and direct his first feature, the award-winning Lisl and the Lorlok, which gained distribution in Russia, Bosnia, Africa, China, Germany and Canada. He has written and directed over 40 cinematic book trailers for Xlibris, iUniverse, Author Solutions, AuthorHouse, Trafford Publishing, Cross Books (all imprints under Penguin Publishing). He’s directed music videos for Jennie Reid, Kinkie Pink, Natalie Toro and Cassandra Violet, the Kabul Court TV pilot for Aryana TV, multiple episodes for various web series and local commercials. He’s directed photography for national campaigns for the American Cancer Society, Karl Strauss Brewing and assorted micro-docs for the socially-conscious Love Machine Films in San Diego, as well as directing photography for other independent filmmakers and reality television. He currently writes, directs and executive produces the fantasy action adventure web series Freelancers and is developing his western feature Dust And Blood.
Unique traits: - produces well under very tight time and budget constraints - loves to collaborate - is never a stickler for dialogue on the page - will break laws to get the shot (lol)
