Dechen Roder is a writer/director/editor based in Thimphu, Bhutan. Founder of Dakinny Productions she is currently editing her first feature film, and has produced and directed many shorts, documentaries and other audio visual content.

By cutting oneself off from the world, and delving into the inner mind, the retreat is supposed to transform the practitioner. Can Lhamo, a young, wounded girl facing the harsh gaze of the world, find her own form of retreat and redemption?

In her search for identity, Dechen uncovers the dark history of her family in which blessings and curses stand side by side.
