About Candace

California made. Traveler at heart. Animal care taker. Graduated from New York American Academy of Dramatic Arts. I have been acting in theatre, film and commercials for the past seven years before exploring work behind the camera as producer, assistant director and 2nd AC. I fell into the camera crew a year ago working on a feature film in Sweden and have been 1st Assistant Camera ever since. Working behind the camera gives me the opportunity to work on projects that, as an actor, I wouldn't have the chance to be a part of. Pulling focus has shown me a creative connection between the lens and the actor. Working on both sides has trained me as a better visionary, collaborator and artist.
