Akin Kongi graduated in business and finance. I later went on to study Insurance as well. I went on to work in the insurance industry for fifteen years, I left Insurance as the Executive Director of the former Triumph Assurance company Limited. I have been a photographer since he was 18.
I moved on to do a few things but got back into the arts when I invested as an Executive Producer in two films “OMOFOWORA” and “OGBON”. I have since then gone back to film school and graduated form New York Film Academy. I am now a known Photographer/Filmmaker in Nigeria. I had a successful photography exhibition at the Bogobiri Art Festival in Lagos Nigeria in 2013, and in 2014 had another exhibition at Terra Kulture (Lagos Nigeria) which I was invited to do by the organising committee of FELABRATION.

Since leaving film School I have gone on to shoot another film called “Orisa Aafin” in which I was the main lead, Executive Producer, Producer, as well as Director, in 2010. This film is due to be released in 2016 along with another feature film he also produced and directed called “Ogere”. Ogere was part funded by a federal government grant.

I have done a lot of cooperate work for companies like, MTN, Total, Goethe Institute, West African Power Pool, and some short films and private work.
He has content that Multichoice have acquired with includes a series of Felabration footage and coverage since 2010. This is now available on youtube.
