SYNOPSIS:

Hiero grew up in West Heights, the richest part of Montana City. She always thought her parents hated violence, and the gangster Viejo Rojo. When she learns that her parents are hiding guns and almost kill her for digging into their personal life, she panics and runs away. In the city she is robbed and left destitute, forced to see how the other half live, until her father's bounty hunter finds her. Hiero almost kills him while escaping to Mama Gina, a small town legend. The bounty hunter, Olly, turns out to also work for Viejo Rojo. When Hiero's new boyfriend, a handsome african american, is beaten to death by cops right in front of her, Hiero confesses her true identity to Mama Gina who unwittingly puts Olly back on her trail, but this time, for Viejo Rojo. Viejo Rojo gives Hiero a choice: either give up your father so I can stop him for killing for St. Paul, the boss who Hiero's father works for, that also owns the press and the cops, or he throws her to Los Lobos Blancos, the lowest of the low, the junkies who do the dirty work even the cops won't touch. Viejo Rojo despises them and expects Hiero to be murdered. Hiero refuses to give up her parents. Viejo Rojo sends her, anonymously, to a Los Lobos Blancos crack den. She is raped, beaten and starved. Despite this, with the help of a young sex slave, she fights her way out to hide with Mama Gina. Hiero decides to return to Viejo Rojo and try to force her parents to abandon their money and their old life, but when she goes back to Viejo Rojo, she is thrown in his dungeon and given no access to her parents once she gets out, and Viejo Rojo puts her parents in his dungeon. She earns the trust of the people at La Mesa, Viejo Rojo's 5 acre estate, and busts her parents out of the dungeon, using Viejo Rojo's stolen cell phone to capture the events as leverage. She convinces her parents to agree to Viejo Rojo's terms, but Evan, her father, in the last moments, tries to shoot Viejo Rojo. Viejo Rojo shoots Evan dead. Hiero and her mother leave their old life behind and start a new one with Mama Gina and other new friends.
