About Andrew

My story begins where most Voice Over Actors do - as a shy, yet outgoing child that loved attention - and loved getting it by doing "whacky things" with my voice. (Typically when someone was on the phone ignoring me.)

I was inspired when I went to my first Buffalo Sabres game and heard how the crowd reacted when Milt Ellis announced "Buffalo Goal..." - "the Aud" went crazy and I was hooked. I wanted to be that guy that got the crowd excited. I wanted to be that announcer that would get the fans screaming as smoke and lasers accompanied the players onto the ice. I wanted to be that "voice guy". So, I started practicing announcing wherever I could and wherever I could. In the shower, in the basement, in the middle of the woods and yes even when I drove my car.) One of my greatest Christmas gifts was a Karaoke machine. No. Not because I wanted to sing. I wanted to record myself announcing, listen back, and get better and better.

In the fifth or sixth grade I started volunteer announcing for the 9-year old ice hockey players during the cold Saturday morning games. As I began doing more and more announcing at the rink over the next few years I also began announcing at community and school events (and of course morning announcements my Senior year). I found an interest in radio and was given a job at the local radio group where I progressed from the very bottom to the very top over my 15 year radio career. I would still go back to the ice arena to host and announce at special games, tournaments and fundraising events - never forgetting where I got my start.

In 2006 I officially started my Voice Over business - – and have loved providing professional voice over solutions to my new and returning clients every day.
