Ben Someck is a writer/filmmaker currently residing in New York. He was born and raised in Netanya, a coastal city in Israel. He made the move to the U.S. when he was 19. As a teenager he enrolled in a performing arts school in his hometown. He was subsequently cast and acted in a film and a mini TV series that was broadcast in Israel. After moving to New York, he studied creative writing at NYU and completed the improv program at the Upright Citizens Brigade, a leading comedy theatre in New York. Currently, he works as a freelance writer and performs comedy around NYC. He wrote and directed the short film, Jimbo, which is also his directorial debut. Jimbo has been selected to appear at Festivals in the U.S and Romania. Currently, Ben works as a freelance writer and performs comedy around NYC.
