As an Emmy winning video producer and director, Cedric D. Lyons has over 30 years of experience in television and broadcast media.
Cedric began his career producing sports events, local TV programming and educational television programs for California State University Bakersfield where he attended college. His outstanding work was recognized by a local NBC affiliate KGET Ch 17, where he was hired as a live news director. There he mastered the art of multi-camera directing and video editing. In 1992, Cedric’s contributions to KGET helped the highly regarded production win an Emmy for best half hour news show.
Cedric moved to Los Angeles, CA to further his career in the television industry. He freelanced with multiple production companies to contribute to their success on projects such as awards shows, music videos, documentaries and national commercials.
In 1996 he was hired full time to oversee, director and produce a nationally and international TV program with millions of viewers worldwide.
Today, Cedric is an independent multi-camera director and producer of documentaries and commercial videos. In addition to producing films for schools, Cedric donates his time to local youth sports teams and provides video services for nonprofit organizations.
He has also found a niche for Sales Consulting and helping business owners in the corporate world build strong infrastructures to increase their bottom line. He has gained the trust of many businesses and nonprofit organizations all over the world by allowing them access to his corporate connections as an affiliate.
Cedric has a Bachelor degree in Communications from California State University Bakersfield and a certificate in Electronic Media.
