Takahisa started his academic education of filmmaking at University of Southern California in 2008, but in 2009 he transferred to New York University Tisch School of the Arts to develop his unique visual style.
In 2011 Takahisa interrupted his education at NYU to work in Japan on TBS Vision, INC as an assistant director and a director of a TV documentary series called "ONE×TIME -the World Architecture."
In the summer 2012, Takahisa came bask to NYU to finish his program and to complete his film projects. His short films, "Judith" and "Salome" have been selected by several festivals over the world, including Festival de Cannes - the Short Film Corner (Cannes, France), Big Apple Film Festival (New York, NY), Berlin Independent Film Festival (Berlin, Germany), NewFilmmakers New York (New York, NY), and etc.

More Than One
Film (short) by Takahisa Shiraishi (Drama) Editor, Director, Producer More Than One tells the story of Daniel, a young man who's forced to reconcile the differences of his dreams with the reality of his present in order for him to live a truthful life. Daniel lives with his college girlfriend, Audrey, but their relationship is far from stable. As they grow individually, their goals change, and their values change. Alienated from one another, they go through the motions and Daniel ignores their issues. When Audrey discovers she's pregnant, Daniel hopes that it will resolve itself. His resolve is tested when Audrey tells Daniel she wants an abortion. Fearful to make a life changing decision, Daniel left Audrey with the responsibility of making a choice. Confused by what he's suppose to do, and his emotions, Daniel struggles with how to support Audrey. Whatever the choice they decide on, they will have to live with in the aftermath.

Salome is attracted by John and his voice. She tries kissing him. However, John rejects Salome and accuses the improper relationship between her mother and Herod.
