With a bachelor degree in Industrial Security Administration, I supervised security programs for defense contractors at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, the Aerospace Division of the Bendix Corporation, in Ann Arbor, Michigan and Michigan Bell Telephone Company in Detroit, Michigan.
I went to law school at the Detroit College of Law (DCL) in Detroit, Michigan, receiving a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from there and Michigan State University at East Lansing, Michigan.
I patented an engineering design of an orbital system to prevent nuclear "First Strikes" by any of the countries having offensive nuclear arsenals, as an interim measure permitting a safe nuclear missile disarmament, striving for a nuclear free world.
At the age of seventy, I earned my Ph.D. in system design engineering from Corllins University, who accepted my U.S. Patents in place of the usual doctorial thesis.
I wrote and published a novel "Beyond Terror" under my pen-name Ralph Thornton and "pitched" the book in New York, NY, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. All of the executives expressed interest in the novel, but I received no calls from any of them.
For forty-seven years I practiced law as a trial attorney for justice in Michigan and in the federal courts.
Now retired, I live, write and fly-fish at my home in the Hiawatha National Forest in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I will be spending the winters in Green Valley, AZ, but can be reached on my cell phone.
