After working for WNEW Radio, International Creative Management, Time Life Films, HBO, and as an independent theater agent, and also co-producing several low budget films, Denise decided in late 2000 to stretch creatively and find her own voice as a writer.
Since that time, Denise has written over 25 short stories, several of which have been published in literary journals (Harvest and Eclipse); some poetry; three children’s stories; six plays; a screenplay; and three novels.
Her play, On The Job, was produced in Los Angeles in 2005.
Denise also wrote the screenplay based on her award-winning short story Protection, which was shot in Los Angeles in 2008 as a SAG short film.
On June 14, 2015, a selection of Denise’s fiction, “Flicks” was performed at The Federal Bar in North Hollywood as part of their “New Fiction Series.”
Denise’s latest play, Trouble Dolls/The Limo Driver, was produced as part of the Los Angeles Theater Festival for fall 2015.
