Simon Gomez

Simon Gomez is Lead Music Producer and President at Pitch Velvet Productions. Simon started his music career in 1990 as keyboard player of “La Maquina Azul”, an alternative rock band that had a profound influence on bands to come in Venezuela. Simon studied contemporary harmony and piano with Gerry Weil for several years, vocal coaching with Claudio Corsi, jazz guitar with Leo Quintero and flamenco guitar with Antonio Rayo Linares. He has over 20 years of experience with MIDI technology and synths. He was awarded best keyboard player by “A Toque “ Music TV Show in 1991. As a songwriter he has received several honor awards by the JLSC (John Lennon Songwriting Contest) and nominated for best songwriter by the (ASA) American Songwriter Awards. He is currently producing pop, alternative, dance and latin music for different artist as well as creating music content for Film and TV.
