Carla Bellomarino

Currently finishing up on Sketch Comedy Show Open Slather for Foxtel, I had a blast acting as Researcher/Director's Assistant, working with the colourful characters in the writer's room and sharing oxygen with Magda Szubanski. I also upon occasion told the comedians their jokes weren't funny just to keep everyone on their toes and wrote a few hilarious scripts myself, one of which was, to my amazement, actually shot. With actors and everything.

Earlier this year I participated in daily shenanigans at The Project, Network Ten as an Associate Producer in the Daily team. I tend to head back there every few months to help out when they need me, as well as to eat all the bread in their kitchenette and convince Waleed to run for PM.

Previous to this I wrote for the Challenge team as an Associate Producer on several series of reality juggernaut The Block, which solidified my theory that I rock a flannel shirt and never want to waterproof my own bathroom.

I am a keen writer, have a special interest in Creative Producing & hope to continue to pursue this in the future in other TV genres.

My hobbies include producing community radio, enjoying Melbourne's cultural offerings and eating copious amounts of delicious food, much of which contains pineapple.
