Apologies for the misleading occupation titles, but there was no selection for rigging. Rigging departments in Australia facilitate Grips, Electric's and Set Builders with pre-engineered rigging products, Cranes and Scaffolding both offset and onset when producing a movie.
I have been involved in Film Production since 2006 in the Rigging Grip's department. Based in Australia I have been employed on films in Sydney Fox Studio's, Gold Coast Warner Roadshow Studio's and Melbourne Docklands Studio's.
In the year 2014 I took work on a Netflix series in the New Pinewood Iskander Studio's in Johor Bahru Malaysia.
I began my Rigging career as a Arena Staging Steel Erector and moved into Project management for large outdoor Arena Stages in the Festival and Rock'n'roll industry working in all major cities of Australia and Tours throughout Asia and Europe.
In 2006 I took on my first movie as a rigging grip and was rocketed to Head of department by 2012 for IFrankenstein, followed by 2IC Rigging Grips, for both The Wolverine (Sydney Fox Studios) and Unbroken (Gold Coast, Warner Roadshow).
I am currently involved in the filming of the second season of Marco Polo (Netflix Series) as Construction Rigging Foreman.
With 12 years experience in Entertainment Rigging, my knowledge base is extensive and adequately serves on the spot rigging or scaffolding solutions for both onset and offset needs.
