LE CLUB
By Lisa Laureta

GENRE: Comedy
LOGLINE:

A new batch of workers arrive for their first day at an all-inclusive, French-owned resort in Florida where with the help of a promiscuous kid’s club worker, an over-emotional receptionist, a sexually harassing boss, and a recovering alcoholic bartender, they soon realize that creating a perfect vacation is hard work.

SYNOPSIS:

For receptionist Brian, the day starts out like any other: a beautiful day in paradise, and an opportunity to create a perfect experience. He’s quickly disappointed to discover that he’s seemingly no longer the boss’s favorite when Ashley, who appears to be sleeping with the boss, as well as many others, is chosen to give the tour to the new workers. Katy, who just wanted to escape Chicago, is a bit torn when she realizes the paradise she was promised might not be all it’s cracked up to be, as is made evident by her first view of the “beach,” which turns out to just be some sand off of a brackish river. Stefan, who told his conservative Indian parents he was attending Harvard, is about to have another lie catch up to him when the other circus workers realize he has no vocational experience. Nichole the bartender manages to keep her alcoholism under wraps to everyone but the cameras. Brian’s day ends like most of his days: in tears. As more layers are peeled, flaw after flaw is revealed in this seemingly idyllic Florida resort. Affairs, lies, and secrets surround all of the workers, who aren’t so great at keeping it all behind the curtain.
