About Philippe

Initially pursuing an academic career in the philosophy of film, Philippe Tremblay-Berberi came to directing after an opportunity with the National Film Board of Canada took him to Lebanon to film his first documentary, “Beyrouth, 6 db Underground.” Since then, Philippe’s unique approach to documentary work has led him to collaborations with various artists and projects, the results of which have been featured on Vice, Oprah, PBS, CBC TV5 among others.

His art films have been shown in galleries and festivals around the world and his work with performance artist Adam H. Weinert, “Reaccession of Ted Shawn,” became a permanent virtual exhibit at MoMA. Always seeking new opportunities as a director, Philippe has recently directed multiple music videos, commercial and branded content projects for clients as diverse as Squarespace, Intel, Tiffany’s and Equinox. He is currently developing his first short film with Metafilms.
