Born and bred in South Africa, I have worked as a stage actor/director, musician/music director/composer (jazz & classical), translator, editor and language teacher, while steadily writing and composing in several genres.
I write in English and Italian, and translate from several modern and classical European languages, as well as from the Afrikaans.
Poetry, fiction and translations of mine have appeared in prestigious South African and international literary journals, including Triquarterly (“Fiction of the Eighties” and “From South Africa” editions).
I have several screenplays and plays to my credit.
Currently I and writing partner Tiziana Massari Zambonini are putting the finishing touches to our screenplay on Bank of America founder AP GIANNINI and the 1906 SAN FRANCISCO EARTHQUAKE.
The title of our screenplay is “Credit Where It’s Due”.
