Once upon a time, in a small New Jersey township, I picked up a camera...and never put it down. Having been ignited by the spark midway through a high school television production course, it'd been made clearer to me just what I would attend college for. Up until that point, I'd been an avid movie-viewer and whimsical storyteller; therefore, putting the two together simply made a great deal of sense.
I can easily be in front of the camera, but I'd much rather be behind it. Or be the person who creates a shot best fitting the story. I went on to write, direct, shoot and edit several of short films/documentaries inside and outside of my most recent college years. In the process, I managed to receive six publications in university literary journals.
Currently, I work as a photographer in Fort Lauderdale - in my spare time, I write new works and freelance in any way that I can. In the future, I intend to be making a living doing just as I do now but in different surroundings where there are even infinite possibilities. My name is Kimani and I am a filmmaker.
