About Jonathan

From watching old Godzilla Films since the age of five, Jonathan Vargas, always knew he wanted to be filmmaker. Born in New York, but then moved to south Florida with his family, Jonathan, was an only child as he did not interact with the other kids, instead he was busy writing scripts at age 11 and creating short films on his own with his action figure toys.

Graduating from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in 2011, Jonathan decided to go for his dream by creating short films in order to improve himself and gain experience to become a seasoned filmmaker.

Jonathan, has so far directed six short films. Most of his themes focuses on gangsters and violence. Three of his six films have focus on gangsters.

However, Jonathan has been willing to step away from those themes, experiment with different genres like in his sixth short "George and Angie", which is a romantic dramedy. He has also touched on Horror and Drama as well. Whenever he's not on set, Jonathan is working full-time in the Telemundo news Division. A busy man, but ambitious to fulfill his dream and become a well known filmmaker.
