Author/publisher along with my 2 daughters of the Starabella musical picture books of diversity. Stories of Social and Emotional sensitivity for the youngest children. Stories based on the vision of a Bright New World of Acceptance told through the music of my daughter Tara. Tara is a pianist and composer with autism. Tara composed the music and plays the keyboard for the 22 songs in the series. My daughter Dana, talented singer, narrates the stories and sings the songs. She performs the roles of multiple characters in the books. The stories feature the heroine Starabella, little girl with learning differences who expresses her feelings and reflections of the world around her through beautiful music. Children reading and listening to the audio narration with music make friendly social choices using a "magical mirror" to send to Starabella's classmates of diverse religions, races, cognitive and physical abilities and challenges, attitudes and dreams in order to get the the Bright New World of Starabella's dreams where everyone plays and gets along and is accepted for exactly who they are. Please see the Starabella website for information on the background and motivation for our family to have produced the series. Meet the Bright New World kids (characters) in the books. Children get in touch with their emotions through Starabella's music. We are hoping to have the Starabella stories turned into a musical play or film.
