Makowade gabriel is an aspiring professor of sociology and psychology of visual and performing arts. This is a relatively new field that endeavors to development art products through deep philosophical, socio-cultural and psychological analysis with an aim of creating memorable, influential, unique, palatable and deep artists and artistic products. This aspect is aimed at retaining traditional and cultural authenticity while creating moral wealth and expanding sources of income.

He has directed and staged different set books which are literature text provided by the Kenya Institute of Education for high school and college students from different publishers.
Makowade gabriel produced and directed Jason Kap’Kirwoks and kinyanjui kombani -jasonkapkirwok.com- poetry and play during the unveiling of their latest books at the Alliance Francaise in Nairobi. Jason Kap Kirwok was unveiling The Heart is a Reluctant Nomad while Kinyanjui Kombani was officially launching Den of Inequities.
In collaboration with Taifaleo and Moran publishers, he directed and staged the Swahili play ‘‘MbayaWetu’’ by renown writer Ken Walibora.
In addition with his production house blaqgold production they have written, directed and staged plays at the Kenya national theatre, some of them including ‘‘Nyahunyo” which was a political satire in collaboration with the law society of Kenya and ‘‘Margareta’’ highlighting breast cancer and breast health in partnership with cancer foundation of Kenya .
Currently in collaboration with ken walibora, makowade and his production house have scripted six seasons of Ken Walibora’s thriller book siku njema and in the process shooting. This is supposed to air as a Swahili drama in the mainstream television as there is a lot of interest from several quarters.
They have also shot and edited several music videos and co-operate videos for different companies and individuals,

Makowade Gabriel has also worked as an assistant director at the award winning alliance girls school drama club, helping to churn out plays like hell’s kitchen that won all the available awards in the national drama festival.
Makowade Gabriel is an LLB Holder from Kenyatta University, a student of psychology from ALISON’s diplomas and is currently doing personal research and reading in the area of development of psychology and sociology of visual and performing arts.
