My professional background...
I graduated from the Illinois Institute of Art of Chicago where I received my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Media Arts and Animation in December 2005. In January of 2006 I worked as a teacher's assistant in a Materials & Lighting class as well as a Modeling I class for two quarters (six months) at The Illinois Institute of art - Chicago. I then taught Game Design 1, Game Design 2 and Modding for a summer program for children ages six through eighteen for Giant Campus - Cyber Camps. Later I became a freelance Technical Director for an Independent company on an undisclosed project where my job was to create custom character rigs for character models and re-weight the models to receive motion tracking data for animation.
Consistently maintaining a traditional job, I continued to develop my skills as a traditional sculptor and I added new skills as a source of inspiration. During this constant development period I acquired many skills and worked on private and independent projects. I mentor college level students, and volunteered to teach a fundamentals of animation course in the Bronzeville Cultural Film Festival in 2010. Thus, I was asked to become part of a pilot program where I created the course curriculum based on software and subject. I taught the courses Xbox Game Creation, Filmography and Fundamentals of Animation held at St. Xavier College in the summer of 2010 all while working as a special effects artist at 1 STOP Productions.
In April 2011 I was invited to Speed Independence Elementary School for career day. There I spoke about the importance of education in all aspects of life. I showed samples of my work and spoke of the importance of school in animation, film and game design. I love creating new and intricate designs and seeing the skills needed develop in other individuals.
I have taught myself Java programming and utilized all of my knowledge to create my very first android app. Which just so happen to be a film and Photography app that helps you light a scene or image based on what it is that you are trying to achieve.
