Ronald Owen

Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, I am a self-trained screenwriter and filmmaker with a passion for storytelling. In 2023, I made my debut with a short fiction film that has since secured distribution with a leading international streaming platform, marking a significant milestone in my career.
As a filmmaker, I am driven by my desire to shed light on important social issues through my work. Currently, I am currently developing a feature-length project that explores the themes of race and the right to belong, which I hope will resonate with audiences both locally and internationally.
Throughout my journey as a filmmaker, I have learned the value of persistence, determination, and focused effort. These core values have helped me overcome obstacles and achieve success in a highly competitive industry.
