About Audrey

I am interested in making connections, working on collaborations with artist of all types; developing new material and helping performers and directors add more physical expression into their work.

I am a collaborative artist, an award-winning theater director, devisor, writer and performer. I have a penchant for co-spearheading and participating in devised productions involving artist of multi-mediums. For the past 15 years my primary focus has been physical theater, physical comedy and using the body as an additional form of language and expression. Much of my live-work involves some kind of true audience interaction, a seamless collaboration with willing audience members.
I have done some work in TV, Film and web-series. Now in forties, I am excited to jump back into the talent pool and grab some more juicy roles after years of avoiding the less interesting ingénue roles.
I work, teach and direct in the form of Bouffon, which is a method of physical clown and dark political and social satire. I teach and coach; acting, clown, improvisation and developing new work.

I am:

Co-Artistic Director of Ten Directions ( www.tendirections.net ) a theater and film production company formed in 1998 with Lynn Berg, to create the roles and work we were not finding in traditional areanas. We have developed original film, and live performances in the forms of; drama, commedia del’ arte, stage combat, improvisation, bouffon and clown.

Co-founder/memeber of the New York Physical Comedy Lab. A place to learn, teach and develop classic and new physical comedy skills.

Co-founder/Director of the NY Clown Theatre Festival. An international yearly festival focusing on the development, understand and community building of this misunderstood art-form.

A performer with Big Apple Circus’ Clown- Care Unit and Clowns Without Borders, working with kids and families in dire need of a distraction, smile, laugh, and some fun.
