SYNOPSIS:

The young gifted musician Johnny Curtis has lost it all. Fired from his gig as sideman to blues legend Red Light Red, Johnny’s living in his car and playing on the street to support his growing heroin addiction. Johnny’s downward spiral abruptly changes course when a famous producer offers Johnny a career-making spot on a European tour - if he can get the reclusive Red to headline.

Driven by the opportunity, Johnny returns to his motel room to find his childhood friend dying of an overdose surrounded by kilos of stolen heroin. Tragically, Johnny fails to save his friend’s life. He flees to Red’s shack nestled deep in the mysterious hill country of Mississippi. Johnny’s arrival ignites simmering tensions within Red’s family and forces Red to face his fears. With Red’s help, Johnny bravely confronts his demons and ultimately finds redemption, unaware of the detectives hot on his trail.
