About Neil

Neil was raised on Cape Cod as the seventh child in a family of ten. He began his professional career in the summer of 1980 as an apprentice at the Cape Cod Melody Tent and has worked for the last 35 years as an actor. He completed his training with the National Shakespeare Conservatory in 1987. Since that time he has worked for New York Classical Theatre, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre, the Los Angeles based Excalibur Theatre Company, Actors Shakespeare Project, Stoneham Theatre, Lyric Stage Co. of Boston, Worcester Foothills Theatre, New Rep on Tour, Cape Rep, Seacoast Rep, the North Shore Music Theatre, the Cape Cod Radio Mystery Theatre and for ten years was a company member at the Publick Theatre, on the banks of the Charles River, under Artistic Director Spiro Veloudos. He has appeared in, or worked on, the films: Frank The Bastard, Edge Of Darkness, The Proposal, Killing Dinner, Fall Apart, Absent Father, Bust, Stranger, and Stuff Stephanie In The Incinerator. His television credits include: PBS/American Experience: Alexander Hamilton, ABC TV’s All My Children, and Showtime’s Brotherhood. Roles include: The Winter’s Tale (Leontes), Julius Caesar (Brutus), Cymbeline (Iachimo), The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Father), Dead Man’s Cell Phone (Gordon), Antigone (Haimon), Doubt (Father Flynn), Of Mice and Men (George), The Crucible (Danforth), Steel Pier (Mick Hamilton), The Rose Tattoo (Alvaro), Macbeth (Malcolm), Much Ado About Nothing (Benedick), Measure For Measure (Duke Vincentio), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Demetrius), Love’s Labour’s Lost (King of Navarre), The Merchant Of Venice (Antonio), As You Like It (Oliver), Romeo & Juliet (Benvolio & Chorus), & The Three Musketeers.
