A multiple personality, femme fatale seduces a Vegas hypnotist into performing regressive therapy to reveal the identity of a sinister serial killer and exact revenge.

SYNOPSIS:

One never knows what lies hidden within the layers of the mysterious Nesting Doll. This sexy film noir dares to be more than a Hitchcock thriller. It is a diverse and layered indie filled with love, music, comedy, and horror. The script was featured on The Black List with a rating over 80.

Back in the early 2000’s, in the shadows of the Vegas neon, the “Nibbler” kills another teen. In the stage lights of the Doctor Hypnasty X-Rated Comedy Show, Quinn hypnotizes a young punk goddess, Dymphna. However, upon hypnosis it is reveled the goddess is just one personality (of many) within an attractive male folk singer. Quinn, being bi-sexual, is entranced and mesmerized by both personalities and soon falls in love.

Quinn investigates his new boyfriend and tracks down his retired mental health caseworker. After a humorous hypnosis, the caseworker warns him that there are other personalities who guard the boy’s true identity and they will do anything to keep him safe and hidden. The caseworker reveals the boy’s real name is hidden within the layers of a Nesting Doll in their apartment.

As the police investigate another Nibbler murder scene, it is revealed the teens are beaten and raped with part of their ear bitten off. Back in Phil’s apartment, Quinn sneaks in the middle of the night and finds the Nesting Doll. As he opens each piece of the puzzle, he hears footsteps. Quickly he finds the folded piece of paper with the boy’s identity and races back to bed. However, he is not alone. One of the personalities has seduced him into sex. As Quinn kisses his lover’s ear, he is horrified that part of the ear is missing.

The next morning, Quinn rises with a deadly warning lipsticked to his chest. Frightened, Quinn begins to suspect the Nibbler is actually another personality within Phil. However, after another murder, Phil requests regressive therapy through hypnosis saying he could put an end to the murders.

Reluctantly, Quinn agrees and takes Phil back to when he was a boy. Soon it is revealed the boy was raped by a teen years ago. Suddenly, the horrifying incident is brought to the surface and the real Nibbler is revealed. For a brief moment the personalities disappear, but in a snap, Dymphna takes back control and tells Quinn his job is done. Quinn is cast aside.

Quinn was used from the beginning to identify the Nibbler and help carry out revenge. Now the personalities are planning a trap for the Nibbler and Quinn must try and stop them. As Quinn races to stop Phil’s dangerous plan, he falls into a trap himself and is unjustly arrested and fingered as the Nibbler. Now, the Nesting Doll can hunt and bring the Nibbler back to the scene of the crime. However, this time the reunion will be bloody different. Revenge is complete and Quinn is left alone and broken hearted.
