About Richard

In 1986, Mr. Romain worked as a talent and production consultant producing and casting music videos, commercials and television programs. Mr. Romain found success as a producer in 1990 working as Vice President for Giraldi Entertainment where he produced many well-known commercials for Golf Digest, the Wall Street Journal, Conair, Comerica, Nintendo, and the Ford Motor Company. While keeping an intense production schedule, Mr. Romain also controlled operations of the other divisions of Giraldi Entertainment, including casting for music videos for Bobby Brown, Whitney Houston, and CrissCross as well as TV shows such as Law and Order and Rescue 911. He also managed several recording artists, including Q Unique of the C&C Music Factory. In addition, Mr. Romain was responsible for coordinating free seminars to educate young talent about the business of show business.

Mr. Romain became an independent producer in the late 90's, finally working with long-time mentor Chiz Schultz (Executive Producer, Columbia Pictures’ A Soldier’s Story and Seize the Day; developer of Mod Squad, the original television series with Aaron Spelling; and Walter and Henry with John Larroquette). Schultz hired Romain as a production coordinator for Crash the Curiousaurus, a two-part series for ABC-Children's Television programming. The Schultz/Romain relationship has developed and presented several ideas for movies of the week.

Mr. Romain produced a several promotional campaign for NBC and The Food Network as well as several pilots for series and executive produced a feature film directed by Eric Schaeffer (Producer/Director If Lucy Fell starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Ben Stiller) entitled Mind the Gap (starring Alan King, Vera Farmiga, Kim Raver, Elizabeth Reaser, Jill Sobule, and John Heard). Mind the Gap is currently being distributed by Showtime Networks. Mr. Romain has also produced a film for Debra Pointer (Executive Producer, Russell Simmons Def-Poetry Jam) entitled What Goes Around (Winner, Best Urban Drama, New York International Film and Video festival).

Mr. Romain recently directed his first feature entitled ''No More'', Starring Monica Vallero, an Italian star making the crossover to American cinema. No More has been selected to the 2015 prestigious Palm Spring International Film Market. Mr. Romain is also producing two star filled blockbuster films. The first one is in partnership with Kiefer Sutherland. The film entitled, ''My Father's Secret War, a bio pic, starring Kiefer and Donald Sutherland, and directed by Norman Jewison.The other film is entitled, ''Wrapped''. Starring Virginia Madsen, Artie Pasquale and directed by Tim McCann.

Mr. Romain's latest film, '' Fractured '', starring Eric Roberts and Jake Busey was released in April 2015. The film had a very successful opening, beating its pre-order estimate sales on iTunes.
