Lee Phillips

Born into a forces family meant traveling around a lot as a child.

Marriage meant putting down roots. After more than 25 years in Yorkshire I'm just about accepted as a 'Honoury Yorkshireman'!

My dreams and aspirations were to take the West End by storm after graduating from drama school. However, to pay my mortgage and put food in the mouths of my children I toured the country delivering Theatre-in-Education Roadshows.

Life throws curved balls... the joy then, is that you have rich experiences which inform the stories you can tell... and that, now, is what I aspire to do. To tell stories. To write and edit scripts about the issues that so many of us face in the world today... our everyday dramas.

So I enrolled at the University of Salford on their Masters Degree in Scriptwriting for TV & Radio, and I've had a ball!
