About Dan

Dan Rubottom has over twenty-five years experience in film and television. Starting with his Dad’s Super 8 film camera re-enacting Star Wars scenes as a child to directing, shooting and editing documentaries, live television, commercials, short films and music videos on several continents on a wide range of formats from 16mm to Alexa.

His work is prominently featured on the most watched inspirational program in the world, Joel Osteen, for which Dan shoots, edits, designs show opens, commercials and special features. He is attached as Director for two feature films currently in development.

A jazz and classically trained musician, Dan brings a unique creative vision and rhythm to his award-winning projects.

Compelled to challenge and move audiences through stunning imagery and sound – Dan believes that we are living in the most exciting time in history - with access to creative tools necessary for such a time as this.

Most recently, Dan completed working as DP, editor and second unit director on the theatrical feature film, Palau, shot in Argentina, Houston and Portland in two languages.

He resides in Houston, Texas with his wife Raven, their three daughters: Destiny, Cicely, and Sterling Zoe, and the family’s yorkie, Zuzu.
