When people die, a Lifetaker must be there to transition their soul from this world to the next. Someone - or something - is taking the souls before people's time is due.

SYNOPSIS:

When a person dies, a Lifetaker needs to be on hand to take their life, and transition their soul from this world to the next successfully. Done wrong, the person's soul could end up in limbo for an eternity. An ageing Lifetaker, Bill, must deal with the fact that he is getting older and a search for his replacement, whilst also trying to track down and stop someone - or something - that is "illegally" taking lives.
