Andrew Freer

Andrew started his production company, Heave-Ho Productions, in 2008. Heave-Ho specializes in creating high quality videos at any budget, working with clients at all stages of production. At Heave-Ho, Andrew directs and produces - organizing projects, guiding the creative vision and ensuring that they are technically executed to industry standards.

Andrew has worked on sets large and small in the Chicago film and video production industry, from national commercials to music videos, documentaries, TV shows, photo shoots, public relations pieces and web video campaigns. Andrew has worked as a camera operator and editor as well as in the locations, lighting and art departments. Past jobs include Chevrolet, Kraft Foods, WalMart, Meijers, Wells Fargo, PBS, National Geographic, The Field Museum, The WE Channel, Top Chef, numerous Chicago area financial firms, a Snoop Dogg music video and the 2008 Obama Campaign.

Andrew’s first documentary won an Award of Merit from the Accolade Competition and was nominated for best political documentary at the Action on Film Festival.
