About Alican

Award-winning Turkish Filmmaker & Sociologist & Underwater Cameraman who lives in London/Uk. Worked on feature films, short films, commercials, music videos, festival organizations, events, and voluntary projects as A producer, director, videographer for over 15 years. Founder of Aw Film Production & Underwater Films. His last environmentalist feature documentary film "The Edge of the Cliff" and the previous underwater short film "Only One World Left" which focuses on single used plastic effects to the oceans selected over 30 festivals in 19 different countries and won awards. Graduated from the Mediterranean University Fine Arts Cinema&TV department and Anatolian University Sociology Department with a second degree. Lived and studied for one year in Australia as a Rotary Exchange Student in the Media Department of Newcastle University of Australia Studied Erasmus exchange program in Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Cinema department in Milan, Italy for one year. Worked as a volunteer videographer in Barcelona as European Voluntary Service. This project won the best storytelling award in the European Parliament of Strasbourg in 2018. Also been in the Czech Republic, Spain, United Arab Emirates, USA, Germany in filmmaking competitions, workshops, film festivals as an organizer, competitor and traveled over 40 countries. Languages: Turkish, English, Spanish, Italian.
