Initial work Australian Cotton, was a corporate film John produced and directed, winning the Gold Medal in New York, then co-produced and directed Rebels With a Cause documentary which sold to ABC TV in Australia for prime viewing time and Granada TV (UK). A second documentary, The Iron Men, sold to ABC TV for prime time, then screened annually for 7 years. John wrote, organised the finance for and directed the feature Fantasy Man sold to ABC TV for prime time and to Ampersand Entertainment (France) internationally on VHS and theatrically in Scandinavia and France. John’s second feature Weird Ones, which John co-produced and directed, winning a High Commendation in Manchester (UK) and distributed internationally by Flashback Entertainment on DVD. TX in Australia was by Channel Nine nationally in a late night timeslot. His third feature Cracking On is currently awaiting distribution, while John’s fourth feature The Rival will be completed after the current music mix. The Thin Men is Driftwood’s current feature in development. There is a completed screenplay with budget and schedule pending also a wish list for lead actors and no committed finance yet.
John is a member of Screen Producers Australia and the BECTU (UK).
