When a lady is found dead in an alley, it's going to take the intuitive skills of investigators and the advanced technology of forensics to figure out what happened. Too bad our team just doesn't have it.

SYNOPSIS:

When skaters find a dead lady in an alley, the crime team is called to investigate. Titlius is the boss of the C3I, a play on CSI: Miami. Det. Brarie is the head detective on the police side of the team.

Donna, the M.E., takes a look at the lady and talks to her like a child who needs the truth coached out of her. Brad takes photos of the crime scene while Elon begins to search for evidence. Think of everything hilarious in all the top crime investigation shows and you'll get where all this is going.

Back at the C3I building, Melinda is looking through a microscope studying DNA from a hair found at the scene. Donna finds a piece of metal in the victim's hand. She also finds a fiber in the victim's fingernail. All this evidence leads the team down a road of discovery where they are able to track the travels of a mysterious pocketbook that originated from the victim.

Titlius and Det. Brarie track one suspect down to an apartment building where he is holding a hostage. But, he's not the guy. He was on the other side of town robbing a convenience store and paying for companionship. Rock solid alibi. Couldn't have been him.

But, the interrogation of that suspect leads them to another suspect. Tracking the new suspect down leads into a chase scene where all the rules are broken and every chase scene in every cop story ever is brutally mocked in much the same way that a caricaturist draws an innocent vacationer's face.

Even though one dead-end leads to another, the team is able to stumble on a huge finding. A picture of a camera leads to footage of a fuzzy character, but a reflection on a ring on the pocketbook makes things very clear. Solving the crime leads to a hilarious twist at the end you absolutely won't see coming.
