Rana Al-Yagout

Originally from Kuwait, I have traveled around the world since birth to which has shaped a universal consciousness, and so therefore my creativity. I currently live in Prague in the Czech Republic. I have majored in, studied and have taken creative writing workshops, and art. Last summer, at 40, years old I decided to try a dream of filmmaking. I enrolled int a 1year program at Prague film school, which i am about to complete. My first four short films can be found at



I am currently about to direct my final diploma film and it will be my longest short film--15 minutes and it will be finished the 20th of May. I plan on making more short films in the future and after around 8-10 under my belt, I want to try my first feature. I plan on moving to Kuwait in September for a year to make my a few of my first local short Kuwaiti films. I then hope to one day work and film in Italy and the United States.
