James Engel has written and performed in a variety of media: film (I Love You, Man, Along Came Polly), TV (Boardwalk Empire, Stacked), comedy stage (UCB, ioChicago), legit (Shakespeare on the Hudson, Soho Rep), and radio (q101 Morning Fix). He’s enjoyed collaborations with many directors, including Noah Baumbach and John Hamburg. James has optioned several features and sitcoms. James is a graduate of the Upright Citizens Brigade improv program, and David Mamet's Atlantic Theatre Company. James received his BA in Drama from Vassar College.
