About Marcia

I have recently returned to my hometown of Bolton, Lancashire from Blackpool, after a year in recovery, and want to focus on my creativity, particularly my writing and music.
In the past I mainly taught piano to children and adults, I am qualified to grade 8, my claim to fame so far was playing at a nativity scene for Coronation Street! I have also worked as a TV extra and licensed chaperone since 2004 and worked on many productions, mainly television but also in theatre - check out my 'credits' section below. I'm currently represented by Mad Dog 2020 Casting in England.
I have written and self-published three books (poetry and the tarot) which can be found on Amazon and other online stores. I am an established and published writer within the greeting card industry and my guidelines for aspiring writers can be found on the GCA UK website. I have had poetry and articles published in magazines, newspapers and anthologies. I was a community correspondent for my local newspaper many years ago, which led me into working in the music industry promoting bands and getting them airplay for record companies.
I have two sons, one of whom works for the TV channel at Liverpool Football Club, and the other makes his living through teaching guitar and playing in a functions band - both are also content creators and have a following on the regular social media platforms.
I am looking to connect with like-minded individuals after a lengthy break from creative pursuits and am currently working on rebuilding my confidence.
