I've had an intense love of performance art, in all forms, for as long as I can remember. I can vividly recall the first time I saw 'Out of Africa' with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford, and I was done. I was barely 11 years old, and the only thing I wanted to do was...be Meryl Streep of course. Somewhere along the way I was told that I couldn't be an actor. Having low self esteem...I listened to them. I didn't even try. That is a regret I will have until I die, but I have a 16 year old daughter who has also been bitten. She is extremely talented, intelligent, and she is enchanted by all things related to the entertainment industry. We are estranged. She lives with her father and stepmother. I don't know why, but I had hoped interacting with people on this site might help me feel closer to her... because you are her "people."
