Reuben Meltzer

Since 6 years old I've been chasing the dream of becoming a filmmaker. At the age of 16, that dream led me to go to the New York Film Academy, where I truly fell in love with the filmmaking process. I then went to New School University in New York City to study filmmaking. I made film after film, and by now (17 years later!) I have made over 20 films ranging from documentary, to narrative, and to experimental. Two of which are feature length films. My first feature, "The Moment: Bonnaroo" was a documentary on the massive American music festival, Bonnaroo. It played at multiple film festivals in America and was awarded an honourable mention for best documentary from the New Jersey Film Festival. Since that film I've honed forces with a good friend to make an epic Sci-fi short film that will truly be one of a kind. The script has already won numerous awards and we made a trailer for it with some grant money that we were rewarded. With the trailer were able to run a successful Kickstarter campaign and are going into production July 2016.
