Sound has always been my biggest passion! While all the other kids were learning the notes and chords of the piano, I made my way to the SFX patch on the keyboard and started making up stories in my head using all the different sounds. I come from a musical family. My dad always had a guitar in his office and I would sneak in and pluck the strings on it just to hear that string resonate in the space! Mmm, such a pure sound. As I got older my passion for sound grew and I noticed myself listening to the sounds in movies more than anything else. I think the first time I was "impressed" with sound was when I heard the dino sounds in Jurassic Park. I just love the sounds in those movies...and Star Wars, of course! It wasn't until two years into College that I realized that I could actually pursue my passion for sound while I was in school! I auditioned first into the music program and then further auditioned my way into the recording arts program. Loved it! Graduated in 2013 and since started my own biz working freelance. Got a job as a PA on a DIY Network show for a couple seasons but office work as a PA wasn't exactly my cup of coffee. I have primarily worked sound into film and tv but have realized a passion for sound in the video game industry. I believe it will allow me to expand my creativity even further as "every" sound in a video game has to be created! I love that flexibility of creativity!
