Hi, I'm Malú Rodríguez, I was born in Argentina. Some years later I came to live in Barcelona, where I studied Art at Massana School. Later, I went to École de Beaux Arts in Genéve, Switzerland, as a exchange student, and after that I studied at the Fine Arts University of Barcelona, where I got interested in video and film. I studied a master in Audiovisual filmmaking in EMAV, Barcelona.
In the artistic field I did some exhibitions on Civic Centers in Barcelona and I got an award and work acquiring by Club Olímpico de Barcelona.
I started my professional career at Boolab (www.boolab.tv) where I worked in the Post production department for several years. After that I started freelancing for Boolab and later with Vice Spain (www.vice.com) as Production manager, coordinating events for brands like Jägermeister, Dewar's, Adidas. I was also involved in audiovisual projects with brands like Fanta or Noisey (http://www.noisey.com), where I was coordinating the technical production in Spain.
I was also part of the development of VICE TV Spain (http://www.vice.com/es_mx/video), as Head of Production and Editor, working on documental pieces and interviews.
I worked as General Producer for Punga Visual Consorcio (www.punga.tv) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, managing projects for 1st Avenue Machine, our Reps in USA (http://1stavemachine.com/)
Then I started freelancing for 1st Avenue Machine for their projects in New York, where I had the chance to work with clients such as Facebook or Coke.
I recently produced with Andrew Geller, Sam Penfield, Arvind Palep and Serge Patzak our first Feature Film "After Finding Sofia" a project shooted in Argentina with talents such as Sam Huntington and Rafael Spregelburd. Nico Casavecchia was directing, a film that it´s been selected by BAFIC (http://festivales.buenosaires.gob.ar/2016/bafici/es/programacion/evento/...). I currently work as a Senior Post Producer in 1st Avenue Machine. I´m based in New York.
