Lived around Atlanta all my life, and I am itching to get out of here as quick as possible. Not that there is anything wrong living a half hour from the capital, just it isn't perfect. Perfect to me would be living my dream; residing in hollywood, writing blockbuster screenplays, creating my own primetime television shows and directing the Academy's 'Best Picture' every year until the day I die. But, I'm not there yet.
As a bushy-tailed, wide-eyed hopeful, relying on my God, my family and my ability, I am working every day to improve. When I'm not out with my friends talking about our dreams and ideas; and I'm not out playing basketball with men twice my size and three times my weight, I'm writing. Or, I am reading. I'll write and read just about anything: novels, short stories, spec scripts, production scripts, poems, lyrics, and perhaps my favorite of all, politics. Nothing better than two crookeds fighting bantering over a dead horse, or a soon-to-be dead horse.
I enjoy debating pretty much anything as long as the debates are civil. I also love critquing and reviewing works. Whether it be the latest Quentin Tarantino masterpiece, a colleague's manuscript, or a low-budget knock-off filmed in the boiler room of a degenerate apartment, I love offering whatever I can.
My dream is to be the next great in the writing industry, and the film industry if I can. And, I am working hard to get that point. I am diligent, and I am determined. I will make it; I have faith I will, and when I do, I won't forget ever forget the smallest inkling of creativity. Or, the sleepless nights I spent studying the experts (though I am certain there are plenty of those yet to come). I thank God. I thank my family. I thank my friends, and I thank adversity. Without them, I wouldn't be possible, but look at me; I am.
