About Roderic

Roderic (Rod) Putnam I have worked as a professional photographer specializing in Lifestyle/People/Commercial photography for more than 25 years. I am based in Nashville TN but I have worked in locations around the globe creating Lifestyle and advertising photography for more than 250 clients. I have had worked published in National publications as well as countless regional newspapers, magazines and catalogs in several cases serving as the sole photographer for entire product catalogs. My work has been displayed at the prestigious Fisk University Van Vechten Art Gallery.

With a deep IT background and extensive media creation expedience the addition of interactive training sometimes called "eLearning" ,to the products offered was a natural fit. Using industry standard tools for SCORM compliance and my background in video compression and web formats I have created training for the Maritime Industry, Medical Services companies, Child Services, Home Health Care companies, Cable TV and Broadband Internet companies.

I added the title of video editor
and producer to my skill-set in 2000 when I served as primary editor and DVD author on the groundbreaking “Dive: South Florida and the Florida Keys” DVD, a first of it’s kind DVD that served as a total trip planning DVD featuring Internet connectivity linking directly to sites highlighted on the DVD. I also served as editor and motion graphics artist on the groundbreaking “Nashville Digital Magazine” a monthly “lifestyles” magazine that was published by Imagine Development Corp. I have produced more than 300 corporate, public relations, recruitment and sales videos. In some cases serving as camera man, editor, and motion graphics artist.

In 2012 I completed my first feature length film. A documentary titled “Rocket Dogs” a film about a small liberal arts university that attempts to compete in the NASA Student Launch Initiative against universities with much larger budgets and much more experience. The film was an official selection for the IBFFN 2012. I recently wrapped shooting on “The Neckbone Tour” a documentary about what started as a ‘guys’ golf trip but grew into much more it has lasted nearly 40 years and hundreds of attendees including public figures like OJ Simpson.

Currently editing my latest film “ Hidden Admiration” a documentary on the unknown monuments and admiration for the fallen troops that fought to liberate France and Europe during WWII it is schedule to complete soon.
