About Amanda

Amanda is what the Hollywood trades call a “hyphenate”—a writer, director, producer, and performer. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, she directed her first play at age 9, mounting a contemporary reimagining of Shakespeare’s THE TEMPEST in her parents’ garage. Several of her original plays have been professionally produced to critical acclaim, including CHRYSALIS, her personal favorite. As a soloist, Amanda performed on the internationally broadcast TV show THE HOUR OF POWER for five years; she continued with the organization as the contemporary choral conductor for The Gathering, working alongside Bobby Schuller. In addition, Amanda has produced concerts both nationally and internationally. Amanda recently formed her own production company, of which she is president. Her first short film, HOW TO LIVE FOREVER, was a gift for her mentor, Cameron Crowe, and featured appearances by many of his friends including: Tom Cruise, J.J. Abrams, Judd Apatow, Scarlett Johansson, Orlando Bloom, Paul McCartney, Harry Styles, and many others. Amanda is in post-production on her second short film.
