Laura Scheiner’s ardent desire to pursue a career in the field of magic was doused at the tender age of six when she discovered the magician at her birthday party could not really make her sister disappear.
After expressing interest in becoming a ballerina, a fireman, a nurse, a doctor, a lawyer, an astronaut, a teacher, the president, a toymaker and a Broadway star, Laura made the momentous decision to finish the third grade before making any decision regarding what she would do with her life.
Upon discovering that some people actually got paid to make things up, Laura thought “cool!” and a writer was born.
Her indie feature "Janie Charismanic" won Best Romantic Feature at the 2014 Manhattan Film Festival and is an "Official Selection" in the 2014 LA Femme International Film Festival and the 2014 Silent River Film Festival.
Other projects include , “e-Bride” for Vika Films, “Crossed the Line” for Back of the Bus Productions Productions and “Miss Robbing Hood” for Dandelion Studios.
