About Philip

I have had a somewhat varied career beginning as a playwright and founder of SUNSHINE THEATRE. I later had columns in such magazines as JUST IMAGINE and BEYOND ANTARES. I have also been the source of articles about myself and/or my movies, which have appeared in newspapers and magazines throughout America. This also includes a chapter devoted to my filmmaking experience in the recent top selling book: THE INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER’S GUIDE TO WRITING A BUSINESS PLAN FOR INVESTORS. I became a writer for television the mid-seventies scripting sci-fi kid shows for CMC Productions. Shortly thereafter, I I became a screenwriter often working in cooperation with Practical Cinema Productions. Over the next few years, I became a Producer and Director of numerous feature films. In the early Nineties I was made Vice-President of the movie distribution company: LEGUM-SAPIR. At one point, having become known as an ANSWER MAN to other filmmakers and studio executives, I began giving lectures in his free time to groups which include the Screen Actors Guild, Women in Film, stunt classes and major sci-fi conventions (including Comic-Con International). Currently, I am the President of AAA American Entertainment. I also the author of the book MAKE MOVIES THAT MAKE MONEY! The Low-Budget Filmmakers Guide to Commercial Success, published worldwide by the prestigious McFarland and Company. I am also the owner and editor of AAA AMERICAN ENTERTIANMENT COMICS which publishes the popular superhero comic book: A.C.T.I.O.N. F.O.R.C.E.
