Kerry is an award-winning Producer/Director and founder member of Park Bench Pictures. Having studied film at university, it was a long journey - via producing and directing for theatre and working as an actor – to finally realizing her ambitions as a filmmaker. Her debut feature, ‘Common People’, won numerous awards at international festivals and played to packed houses for nine weeks at one London cinema before receiving a nationwide theatrical release with Picturehouse. It was the first self-distributed film they had ever included in their Discover Tuesdays program, and as such Kerry was responsible for all aspects of distributing and marketing the film. It went on to screen in consideration for BAFTA’s and ceremony host Stephen Fry described it as “a rare gem, the kind that makes you thrilled to have discovered it”. Following the success of ‘Common People’ Kerry was selected to participate in the Producers Network at Cannes in 2016 and is currently participating in the prestigious Women in Film and TV mentor scheme. At present she is developing two new features for Park Bench Pictures slate; the low-budget drama ‘Songs From A Gilded Cage,’ and ‘Body Checks’, a romantic comedy adapted from the critically acclaimed stage play which Kerry previously produced.
