I'm a storyteller, broken down between acting and screenwriting.
With that being said, a little bit about me:
On the day of my birth, I miraculously somersaulted my way out of my mother's dark and scary womb, quite like the graceful Gene Wilder in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. You can imagine my disappointment upon exit when, expecting a fairytale world mixed with dragons, unicorns, and abstract colors, I instead opened my eyes to a freezing, white-walled room filled with heavy-breathing and someone crying. Man, that crying was obnoxious. Can someone make it stop? Oh, wait. That crying was me.
This was the day I realized life was not what I was expecting upon impact, and if it was going to be enjoyable then I had to make the most of it. Flash forward a few years, and I had this whole concept in the bag. I was hamming it up on my dad's handheld video recorder, scheming my way out of at-home piano lessons, pretending to be Dominique Moceanu in my basement while multi-tasking chasing around a "rare white tiger" (our family MainCoon Cat, Fluffy), and all the while recognizing that I was never going to be able to settle into a "normal" life. Ever. There was too much excitement, too many hats to wear, too many lives to try on, and, oh man, what was I going to do?! Well, you can guess that by three years old, I had already decided the only lifestyle that made sense for me was one consisting of consecutive opportunities of storytelling, and so, an actor was born. I've been obsessed with living different lives, learning new skills, exploring and expanding parts of the brain and cultures and experiences since, and I CAN'T STOP. There will never be an end to this feeling of desire, no quench to keep my inquisition fulfilled. I need this feeling like hummus needs chickpeas. Or pita bread. Or carrots. It's subjective, but you get the picture.
