About Max
My name is Max Koerner and I was born in 1991 in Germany. I have spent most of my life in a small town called Selb in tne north of Bavaria. In 2011, I founded a film production company called "Franconia Films" and since then, I produce all kind of movies.
Experiences concerning filmmaking
I starte shooting movies whne I got my first camera at the age of 14. The first experiments were short movies with friends and later develloped into a school movie group. After finishing school, I decided to study "Directing Film and Televions" in Munich (2010 - 2013).
My productions
After finishing school, I founded the film production company Franconia Films and started shooting movies. The first bigger production took place in 2013 and was a feature film called "Nur...". With this movie, I participated at my first film festival, the "Grenzlandfilmtage", an annual event in my hometown Selb.
In 2014, I shot my first short film called "...und einer zeichnet die Realität", which won the price as best youth movie in upper Franconia (2015) and later on in Bavaria (2016).
Currently I'm working on ...
At the moment, I am producing a web-series called "Seelenspiel", which features local myths. It can be seen on Youtube (including english subtitles). I am also producing web news from my hometown at a regular basis.
My reason for filmmaking...
I love movies! I love sitting in a chair in the cinema, sinking in and dream of a fantastic world. When I watch a movie, I leave my daily life behind and enter another world.
I want to share this passion with other people and invite them on a journey into a world where everything is possible.
